School Holidays

Are you are the children enjoying the holiday?  I hope you are finding plenty to do to keep the kids occupied, although all they seem to need these days is a Playstation or DS and that's it you never hear from them again until they are throwing a strop that they lost the game!

Having said that, I occasionally, or maybe I should say, rarely have a go on the PS and then I know how they feel.  Haha, I have been known to get a mood on because I could not get to the next level and it does help to understand how they feel.  Only once in a while though.

My 7 yr old daughter is always wanting me to play Sylvanian Families.  I really have lost the knack of pretend play it seems.  I always get told off for saying the wrong thing or she does not like me mimicing a voice!  I am always getting it wrong when it comes to pretend play.  It is so much better when they are toddlers and just happy for you to make silly noises!

As it is pouring down with rain today and we are awaiting on the mobile library I have decided to let them have a PS day and I can get on with some work.  All my printing is up to date so I am working on the website today, which means we are all happy and having fun...I hope you are too.

Take care and have fun.

Back in Stock!

Hooray, I have managed, at last, to restock the blue long sleeved Humbugz I'm the Little Brother t-shirts.   I have also brought out the white I'm the Little Brother T-Shirts in 6-12 months as well as the 0-6 months.  So hopefully I now have all ages covered for Little Brothers.  These t-shirts are beautiful, soft tees for your beautiful, soft little baby boy or boys!

I do hope you are drinking plenty of water as the weather does appear to me, and that is saying something coming from me, but I do really think it is getting warmer over here in Wales.  Hopefully, the sun will get it's hat on and come out to play on a full time basis.

So the rules for all you expectant mums is drink plenty and rest plenty as I was reading an article the other day that after baby is born we lose a total of 6 months sleep!  Personally, my experience is it is a whole lot more than that.  So rest while you can.

Good luck and best wishes.

Take care and have fun.

I'm the Big & Little Cousin T-Shirts

Yay!  We had some sun yesterday.  Lovely dry weather on Sunday, good enough for a bbq at a friend's house to celebrate her engagement and 2 family members birthday's.  We had a fabulous time sitting outside...it was dry!

It was great fun as two particular people at the party were ex-Army, my husband is ex-RAF.  The banter between the two services is fantastic and such fun!  We did not realise how much we missed it, it is a very special feeling within the Armed Forces.

On Monday morning I managed to get some more photographs taken.  I'm the Big Cousin and I'm the Little Cousin t-shirts which are now t shirts online!  So I am pleased they are now on the website too.  My photographs really are improving every time.  I also retook the tattoo t-shirts.  Remember, these designs can be personalised, so if you are a Nanna or Grampy your grandchild's/child's t-shirt can be personlized for you.

As we are back to torrential rain again who knows when I will get more photographs taken.

As I had forgotten the printing for the long sleeved little brother t-shirts I will be preparing the screen for them and as always, in between, carrying out all my other orders... I do love the variety in my business.

Onwards and upwards!

Take care and have fun.

More New Photographs

I have now managed to put new photographs of I'm the Little Sister T-Shirts on to the website.  I am not sure I am happy with them!  The t-shirts are fantastic quality and if I say so myself... so is my printing.  But I don't think it shows so well in these photographs.  So, once again, I would like to thank my customers who have faith and know that my printing is soooo much better than my photography.  Thank you.

I am not able to get on and do any more for the moment due to the horrendous weather conditions here in Wales.  We have really had unbelievable weather for July.  Torrential rain and even thunder storms and lightening!  Hopefully it will end soon and we will get some of the heatwave that others have had the pleasure of enjoying.

In the meantime, I am going to get on with some more printing.  I shall now be printing up more stock of the blue long sleeve I'm the Little Brother tops.

Take care and have fun.

 T-Shirts On Line

Wow, I have been extremely busy with my t-shirts on line.  As you can see I have been improving my photographs on the website.  So far I have the I'm the Big Brother, I'm the Bigger Brother and I'm the Little Brother completed and the t-shirts are on line!

I do have I'm the Big Sister t-shirts on line however, the photographs are not showing the true quality of the t-shirts or my printing.  So I am having to wait for sunny and not windy day to get them right.  I am sure the lovely warm sunny days are on their way.

In the meantime, I have been printing up stock as I am pleased to say the website has been extremely busy.  Once again, I would like to thank all my wonderful customers for purchasing from my website and wish you all the best and hope you do not have too many sleepless nights!

Take care and have fun.

T-Shirts Online or Tennis?

Oh definitely tennis I would say.  Did you see the record breaking match?  Thankfully I only started watching it from something like 54/54!!

I was working here on the website and my photographs of the t-shirts online and my husband called out to me to say I should see the match.  So I stood and watched thinking I would only be in front of the tv for 5 minutes, haha.  I actually sat down and watched it...not to move again until 9pm!!!  It really was sooo intriguing watching grown men take turns at winning a game LOL!

Of course there was the added element of the American whom I though was cute (oh dear, I'm probably old enough to be his mother).  But I noticed his broad chest and large fe .et and the next thing the commentator mentioned that the guy was 6ft 9!

The following day I had tv back on to find out what time the match was to restart.  My kids were saying "since when does mum like tennis".  I mentioned that it was when Virginia Wade won and apparently that was also the last time the Queen attended Wimbledon.  Looks like we both stopped sulking that a Brit has not won since haha.

I sat down to watch the 3rd day of the match.  Personally, at the end of the second day I thought the French player made a mistake asking for the match to be suspended.  Good grief the American was just about managing to stay on his feet poor guy.  It was amazing when the 3rd day started with them taking turns again at winning, absolutely incredible.  When the match point was for the American I stood up and prayed... I needed the loo for Goddess sakes!  How that Umpire managed 7 hours without a 'bathroom break' was amazing.

I was rather surprised that the 3rd day went on for as long as it did, but I was pleased... I sent the kids out on to the trampoline so I had a couple of hours peace and quiet.  Hey, I was not the only one.  I saw on a mums forum quite a few mums discussing it all and I was in tears laughing at the comments, they were hysterical to me.

So, well done to both the French and American guys for breaking every tennis record in the book and records that are unlikely to be broken too.  Simply the best.

I get on to the t-shirts online went I get some more time.

Take care and have fun.

Happy Solstice

Actually, I don't really know what Solstice is all about!  What's even more embarrassing is the fact that I know I have been told a zillion times.  I think on a number of topics I have a mushy brain.  If you want to talk about t-shirts and printing... hey, I'm in there, haha.

How are you feeling today?  I am guessing for all you expectant mummies it is far too hot!  So just put your feet up during the day when you can.  Yes, I know you said... "chance would be a fine thing".  I remember when I had my second baby I wondered just how much time I spent doing nothing because once you have your second (or more!) you find time, somehow, to do a zillion other things.

I popped into town today and had my hair cut and restyled.  Oh, I feel sooo much better for it too.  There was a young man waiting to have his hair cut and talking about his baby.  Bless him, the pride in that Daddy's voice was lovely.  He was telling us all how the baby slept through the night from 6 weeks and now at 4.5 months baby appears to be teething and barely sleeping.  Aaaagh!  I remember that rude awakening.  Although my first born never slept.

So if you are lacking in sleep because you are too hot, too big or your new baby is waking you constantly... my heart goes out to you and remember... there are many other mummies feeling the same way as you, you are not alone.

Put those feet up!

Take care and have fun.

 Father's Day

Now, correct me if I'm wrong, and if I am I shall blame my husband!  I believe Father's Day is this coming Sunday.  So if you have a special design you would like printed on a T-Shirt let me know as we don't have much time left do we!  I am working on one at the moment but never seem to have the time to get all the designs on the website.

I had a close call as it is my husband's birthday today.  My 7 yr old daughter was going to make his birthday cake!  Yes, she is amazing at cooking...she does not get it from me I can assure you, haha.  I mentioned to my husband that I had to buy his cake as we did not have time to get one made by Wednesday, he told me his birthday is today,  Monday.  Oh, we have only been married 28 yrs (I think!).  I get his birthday mixed up with his Dad's birthday which is two days before and I have just remember, right here and now, it is my friends birthday in a couple of days, and Father's Day.  How are we supposed to remember all these things????

Must dash as I now have a birthday card and present to get.

Take care and have fun.

Pauline

How you doing?

Are you all settling back into a routine of school run etc?  Are you getting enough rest?  How are you feeling?

I hope you are well and it is not too humid for you, it feels rather humid to me today.  I am sure the hot weather is on it's way back to us.  Yes, think of the sun and I am sure it will appear!

I want to get out and take more photographs.  I am really enjoying taking the photographs now, they really are improving.  It is ironic that my photographs of the t-shirts are really getting so much better and I am learning to show you the superb quality of the t-shirts that I print, yet, it won't be long and I will be having a professional photoshoot which is really exciting and I will tell you more as soon as I can.

In the meantime, I have more tees to print and screens to set up.  I also hope to make a video of how the screens are set up and t-shirts printed, but that may be a little way off yet... I have my nerves to contend with first!

Must dash and get on with the printing.

Take care and have fun.

Pauline

 Enjoyed the Holiday's?

I hope you have all enjoyed the school holiday and had sunshine and fun.  It sure goes by quickly doesn't it!

Having been kept extremely busy with orders I am now printing up more stock, and as you know I love the printing.  I am also busy at the moment designing t-shirts for customers and friends which is also great fun.

Have you seen my new photographs?  I am still practising and even if I say so myself, I am improving all the time.  But photographs are not something I necessarily enjoy doing.

So, must dash and get some more of these photographs sorted out and the printing done.

Thank you all so much for your custom and loyalty... returning customers are my favourite!

 Take care and have fun.

Home Education

Yesterday, as part of the children's home education, we spent the day at Gloucester Cathedral and the weather was good.  As we are living in Wales it took some time to get there but was worth it.

The children had their French Science Club in the morning on the lawn outside the Cathedral, picnic lunch and then we went into the Cathedral with our group of home educating friends and had a guided tour of the bell tower.  We climbed the 200 plus steps which they complained about all the way!  Us grown ups did not have the breath to walk and complain though, phew!

Had a brilliant view from the rooftop.  Absolutely fabulous view of all the shops, haha.  Yes, I admired the rest of it too.  Although my son will climb walls and trees it was really confusing to me that he has a fear of heights, albeit he did point out that this rooftop was a whole lot higher than the trees he climbs...point taken.

As the rest of our friends were slower coming back down the tower we were lucky enough to be in the bell tower at 2pm when the hammer hit the bell, rather loud to say the least, but great fun.

If you have ever wondered about home education, yes, it is legal and certainly a better alternative for children than sitting in a room learning at other people's pace.  With home education they learn at their own pace and they learn what is of interest to them.

If you want to know anything further about home education feel free to contact me.

Take care and have fun.

 Enjoying the Weather

Isn't this weather wonderful.  Although I am having a tough time!  You know how it is when you are at home all day and summer arrives.  Having to sit out in the garden and thinking of all the things you could and should be doing in the house.  Living with the guilt of NOT doing it can be tough LOL!

Yesterday I had to endure the heat sitting out in the garden watching my husband render a wall.  As usual I was the gofer.  Tut, interrupting me asking me to go get him a drink!  Then the kids in the pool were continuously yelling "watch Mum, watch".  I have had it tough!

I did work through last night though until 1.30 a.m. so I have made up for it.

If you are heavily pregnant I have no doubts this weather is too much for you.  Make sure you drink plenty and rest just as much.  Enjoy yourself and your family.

Take care and have fun.

Supporting the UK Anti-Bullying Campaign

As I am trying to raise awareness of the UK Anti-Bullying Campaign and supporting children who are affected by bullying, and in fact their families I came across this Squidoo lens by a mum.  She writes of the tell-tale signs and ways of getting help if it affects you or in fact, anyone you know...  Bullying at Primary School .

If you would like to help raise awareness and support the UK Anti-Bullying Campaign, be sure to check out our Matty-Boy T-Shirts.  We donate £2.99 to the campaign for every t-shirt purchased in this range...Matty-Boy T-Shirts

Take care and have fun.

My Best Photograph...So far!

Well, I have finally achieved a really good photograph.  Have you seen it?   Anti-Bullying T-Shirts

As you will see, I donate £2.99 to UK Anti-Bullying Campaign from every t-shirt sold.  So, when you purchase one of these t-shirts you are actually helping 29 children.  That's a fantastic feeling.

I will now be working at getting my other photographs just as good.   I love the fact that at last my photograph shows the quality of the t-shirt and the print.  Anyway, that is enough of me blowing my own trumpet!

Now, I also need to get on with printing the organic t-shirts which I will be doing this weekend as I have been extremely busy with customised orders and all the other things us mums juggle.

Here is my Squidoo lens that I made about Organic T-Shirts

Organic T-Shirts for Women

At the moment I am not sure if I have time for Squidoo, I don't really think I do because I have so many other things on backlog, but it is fun!

Take care and have fun.

 HAPPY MAY DAY!

I hope you have had a very happy Bank Holiday weekend and the traffic flowed nicely and the weather was wonderful for you.

Personally, I never travel on the Bank Holiday weekend.  So, after a piling of ironing was completed I took the kids to the park across the road from our home and I, yes me, had a turn on the swings.  I know, I know, the sign says for children aged up to 10 yrs!  Well, I am 49 yrs old on Wednesday so I guess it is time to start lying about my age, hehe.

Oh boy,  it really has been a long time since I went on a swing.  Legs, arms and stomach muscles ache.  Well, I was swinging for about 10 mins, or was it only 5!

Still, it was a nice break from all this...

New Organic T-Shirts Coming Soon!

I have recently bought in some new White Organic T-Shirts and they are absolutely superb quality.  I am presently testing one out on my son who has told me that it feels lovely to wear.  I have washed and ironed it and as I say...superb quality.

Hopefully I shall get to print these new t-shirts at some point over the coming weekend. I'll keep you updated.

Take care and have fun.

Auditory Process Disorder

I had not heard of Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) until I came across this Squidoo lens by a Mum in the UK.  This lens explains APD and I was amazed at the symptoms and the potential of how many children could have this disorder but it is so unknown.

This is definitely worth reading and talking to friends and family.   http://www.squidoo.com/apd

 Take care and have fun.

happy birthday

Hip, hip, hooray!  On 1st April 2010, my beautiful daughter had her 7th birthday.  No, we dare not do April Fool on her and tell her no presents, the consequences that we would have to pay are just not worth thinking about!

Bless her, she made her own birthday cake though.  She loves making 'potions' and that is what we have renamed baking/cooking in our house.........making potions.  Mind you, with my cooking any potion is an improvement, hehe.  Anyway, she made an owl.  Two sponges, with one rounded edge cut off to make them fit together as head and body and then we covered with ganache!!!  Yes, I have learnt something new.  If you also did not know what it is, it is a chocolate covering.  A friend told me about it as I admired a photograph of one of her cakes.

Soooo easy for the kids.........double cream and cake covering chocolate.  It will be a bit of trial and error on measurements but that is what kids love, I think!  Heat the double cream to just boiling then add the melted chocolate, leave to stand for 5 minutes and then whisk the mixture.  You then just pour some over your cake to soak into the sponge and leave the rest in the fridge to set enough that you can then just smooth the chocolate over the cake.  We then used a fork to make the lines on the chocolate to give the effect of the feathers.

Well, I shall get a photograph on here shortly and you can judge for yourself.  We ate it all and it was gorgeous.............my birthday next months, haha.

Take care.

Best wishes.

Pauline

Running in Round in Circles.........Sound Familiar!

The printing is done, so I am now restocked with I'm the Little Brother Sleepsuits which are I'm the Little Brotherfantastic quality and finally, restocked with our I'm the Little Sister Long Sleeve Tops.  I had totally forgotten that the stock had sold out.  But we are now restocked with everything!

I am working on my photographs all the time to improve them to show the quality of our t-shirts and printing.  Thank you to all my customers who have faith in me.  I promise you the photographs will get better and better.

Take care.

Best wishes.

Pauline

Only 2 Weeks to Go!

We are getting more and more excited here about our upcoming birthday.  Although I have printing to do tomorrow and need to clean some screens for some new prints I am also making..........windows!!!  No, no, not your regular windows, dolls house windows, all 24 of them, aaagh!

Darling daughter wanted a Sylvanian Grand Hotel for her Sylvanians.  Not only are these hotels £100 each but now discontinued as a new design is coming out in the Summer, so I have been told.  So hubby and I decided we would build one.......a whole lot cheaper too!

We are basing it on the Sylvanian design (am I allowed to say that) although I don't think we could be accused of stealing the design once it is finished LOL!  However, Natalie is absolutely chuffed to bits with seeing it being built by her Dad, although he had better get a move on with it.  The same with me, I have only made 5 windows and braindead boring they are too!  I am gluing 'matchsticks' together and then painting them, gluing them all together for the actual shape and using acetate for the  'glass' and she pointed out to me today that she wants them to have the little crosses in them.  Haha, I believe, given the shape (or state) of them an estate agent would say................"they have character" .  Maybe next year she can upgrade to uPVC LOL!

So, maybe after all my printing is complete tomorrow I shall relax in front of the tv for a change and make some more windows.

I'm the Big Brother T-Shirt is Nearly 7 Years old!

Yes, we have a double celebration coming up........in 3 weeks time, and counting on a daily basis!

My first ever I'm the Big Brother T-Shirt was printed around this time nearly 7 years ago and who would have thought it would have lead us to our thriving printing business.  My beautiful daughter will be 7 yrs old on 1st April.

We printed I'm the Big Brother T-Shirt for my son ready for when our daughter was born.  He was around 6 yrs old at the time and, expecting him to be an only child(!!!!), he was somewhat spoilt for attention.  So we decided to print the t-shirt for him so he would feel special when his little sister was born.

As you can see from the range now available we have certainly grown along with the children.

I am really pleased to have my new range of long sleeve I'm the Big Sister T Shirts available to you on the website.  They are absolutely brilliant.  The t shirt, which is the Humbugz label by Mantis World is superb quality, I love them.   The print is soft to the touch and you can iron over the print.

I have printed the age range from 4 yrs up to 12 yrs.

Things have been busy here as I have managed to improve some of my photographs, hooray, and presently am working on getting them here onto the website and other websites where my t shirts are sold.

Hence, the reason for my very reasonable prices.  I do everything myself so you do not have to pay extortionate prices for high quality clothing.

I'm off now to get kiddiewinks to bed and then I shall be getting on with my wonderful 'Things to Do' list.  Although which one I have not decided yet, LOL!

Take care, have fun and plenty of rest.

Pauline

How many does one woman need?!  How many do you have?

The reason I ask is because I noticed today that I have three, yes, three!  I am going to sit down and sort them out.  What I love about these lists is by the time I get to some of the jobs I find I actually don't need to do some of the jobs as somehow, someway, they disappeared or I did them because I also have a 'things to do' list in my head.

At the moment all my jobs to be done are to do with either ordering in more plain t-shirts for printing (I need to make larger orders so I don't have to do it so often)! or jobs for the website.  Working on the website I do enjoy.  Taking delivery of t-shirts too!  It's a bit like being a kid in a candy store to me!

I just took delivery of some new Mantis T-shirts.  In the process of ordering I decided to order some long sleeve tops for girls (which will be on the website by next week).  Yes, taking photographs is on my list!  But I also ordered my son a Mantis World tracksuit.  It is 100% ring spun cotton and he is going around as though he is in paradise.........he says it feels like silk!!!!   Mantis World are fantastic quality.  They provide the Humbugz and Babybugz T-shirts and Tops.

And, there is my reason why I have so many lists..........I have gone off on a tangent to what I was doing!!!!

 Printing, Printing, Printing!

Yes, as my job is screenprinting it is no surprise that is what I have been doing.  So, I would just like to say thank you to my customers because I love printing and I really love knowing that each individual t-shirt has made a child feel special when their little brother or little sister arrives.

I have been printing more I'm the Big Brother t-shirts to increase stock due to demand.

I am also taking new photographs as I am always trying to improve my photography!!!

Tomorrow I need to set up a new screen to print more of our tee bags.

Thank you again and remember.........

Take care and have fun.

Arts and Crafts for Children

Although I have been busy with the website and I have more printing to do tonight, I have found a lovely way to relax!  Arts and Crafts............Journaling.

A lovely friend of mine is very artistic.........I am not!  So I am learning from her and she journals and her journals are beautiful.  I have got my children involved too and they love it.  If you want to find another reason to put your feet up and know that you are really doing something, try this with the children.

Check this out  Art Journaling for Children  absolutely beautiful and great for both you and the children.

And........I would love to know how you get on!

Take care and have fun.

Hello, How are You Today?

Hi, how are You really doing today?  I hope you are well and resting.  I know, I know, how are you supposed to rest when you already have one or more children to look after?  I think the best thing to do is make sure you sit down and play with them, read to them, draw/colour with them.  That way you have rested those aching legs and heavy belly and given loads of attention to your little one.

As my two children are now aged 12 and 6 yrs respectively, and I home educate them I don't seem to stop at all.  But, I am nowhere near as tired as when I was in your position of being pregnant and another one to look after.

Would you like to 'meet' them.  I have made a short online video with my children wearing one of their t-shirts I printed.   You can see our Fruit of The Loom, I'm the Big Brother T-Shirt and my daughter wearing her I'm the Little Sister T-Shirt.  My son (doing his QVC model impression!) is wearing his It ain't my Attitude..........it's my hormones printed t-shirt.  I came up with that idea when he developed an attitude that really bugged me but I realised it was not really his fault it was his 'growing pains'!!!  I really should let him have one for each day of the week, just to remind me!

  Yay! We had Snow!

Yes, we finally had the right kind of snow.  Lovely fluffy snow that enabled me to make a huge snowball but not a snowman!  The majority of it has cleared already.  The wonderful thing about today though was the sun was shining like a beautiful spring day, it felt gorgeous, but then I was indoors printing.

Today I have been printing my cotton shopping bags, otherwise known as my tee-bags that I dunk the t-shirts in prior to sending to you.

I am also in the midst of my stocktake and tax returns.........oh the bliss, the excitement, the sarcasm!

Thankfully, I also have some t-shirts to print and my children to home educate.  At least the printing keeps me sane, LOL!

Take care and have fun.

Good Morning!

Well, it is slightly snowing here!  I personally, do not think we have had much snow here in Crynant, although I am not venturing very far..........to the garden and back is enough for me, hehe.

Children however, are absolutely amazing.  Venturing out to play for "10 minutes" with them they proceeded to lay in the snow and play at dancing stars!  I was freezing just watching them....how amazing children are, they feel the coldness of the snow but know that having fun is more important.  We can learn so much from them!

As much as I would love to lay in the snow and play dancing stars the Inland Revenue think it is more important that I get my accounts up to date and get online to register them.  So even though I have a ton of other things to do, that I would certainly prefer doing.........I best get on with the accounts.

Take care, be safe and have fun.

Pauline

NEW!  I'm the Big Brother Long Sleeved T-Shirts

Whoohoo!  I love my new Humbugz Big Brother Long sleeved T-Shirts with silver print. Big Brother T-Shirts Honestly, they really are fantastic, I love them.  At the moment I am only printing them in the two sizes, 2-3 years and 4-5 yrs.  In the new year I shall increase the size range.

At the moment I am extremely busy with Christmas Fairs and personalised prints for t-shirts and the Christmas sacks which everyone is loving.  I honestly think this is because the quality of my products is really high and my prices are so reasonable and I shall stick with both.

To stay safe in cyberspace it's important you do NOT tell anyone your real name and how old you are and never ask to meet up or they might not be as nice as they say and don't tell them your address.

Please tell someone if you are being bullied.

3 steps how not to get bullied.

Step 1: Try not to irritate or annoy them.

Step 2: If you see bullies go some where else.

Step 3: Don't ask to touch their things.

Pauline & Son - 16th December 2009

  Please Support UK Anti-Bullying Campaign

This week is National Anti-Bullying week in the UK and we ask you to support the campaign by purchasing from the range of  Matty-Boy and Percy Pigeon t-shirt's.  £2.99 from every sale is donated to the campaign.

Percy the Pigeon's Anti-Bullying Campaign

Anita Hunt wanted to support the work of Bullying UK bullying.co.uk by raising funds and promoting their work.  Bullying UK supports over 500,000 people a year for a cost of just £50,000, a cost of just 10p per person supported.  Founded 10 years ago Bullying UK is the leading Anti-bullying charity and a safety net for UK children when all else fails.  As a part of Anita's fundraising efforts, they have a Just Giving page for this purpose - JustGiving

Due to her experience of bullying through personal experience, research, and working with young people, one of the most difficult aspects surrounding this sensitive issue, is that many people whether children or adults, find it very hard to talk about.  Anita wanted to find a way to encourage familieis, schools and communities to talk about this subject.  She decided to write a children's novel aimed at 8-12 year olds which is a fun story, but has the underlying theme of encouraging those affected by bullying to tell someone / a safe adult.

The book - 'Matty-Boy & The Secret Pigeon Racket' was published in April 2009 and very quickly a website was developed to not only provide a platform to talk about the book, but to be a place where a discussion could take place; to offer suggestions of how to cope and where to go for help.  50p from every book sale will be donated to the work of Bullying UK.  The book is available through their website areyoubeingbullied.com  for £8.99 plus p&p as well as other gifts, or the book can be ordered through other online stores such as Amazon.

The book gave an ideal opportunity to begin a campaign to spread Percy's message; a pigeon that helps his friend Matt to tell a safe adult that he is being bullied, so that he may be able to receive the help that he needs.

To help further in raising awareness of the campaign I have joined up with Anita and printed t-shirts of the wonderful designs from her book which are now available here  and at the same time we will be donating £2.99 from the sale of each t-shirt to Bullying UK and helping 29 children.

If you are affected by bullying please contact Bullying UK, or one of the other organisatios listed on their website, you do not have to deal with it alone.

Remembrance Day

I happened to switch the news on yesterday..........I rarely watch tv and I don't think I have seen the news in months!

Sky News had just gone live to Wootton Bassett and were showing the coffins of our 6 men who had lost their lives in Afghanistan, being taken back to their families and my heart went out to them all.

We used to live in married quarters when my husband was stationed at RAF Lyneham many many years ago, and thankfully we never had to experience that.

Apparently, now the debate is whether or not it was right for the people to applaud rather than the respectful silence. I think the only thing that is important is that there were people and will always be people there to pay their respects and to show appreciation for what the men have done for their country.

I obviously noticed the t-shirts that were being worn with the poppy printed on the back and I hope that the people involved will not mind me taking the idea and doing something very similar next year in order to raise money for the Poppy Appeal and for all our men who fight for our country and for the families of those who give their lives for their country.

We Will Remember Them.

HOME EDUCATION

Are you aware that it is legal to home educate in the UK?

I home educate both my children and have been doing so for the past 3 years, well 6 years really, as my daughter has never been to school. I deregistered my son from school 3 years ago.

The Government, although still allowing home education to be legal want to make a few changes, to say the least! They are telling us that the changes they wish to make is for the protection of children, ie. Protection against child abuse.

A recent study carried out by Graham Badman gave totally inaccurate figures regarding abuse against children that are home educated and it was on this basis that I gave my response to Journalist Amy Schofield...........

 Yaay!  Halloween T-Shirts

Halloween T-Shirts

Click picture

Yes, I have managed to get some kids t-shirts designs for Halloween on the website.  So for the little one's who don't like to dress up in costumes these t-shirts will play their part.

My little girl does not really like Halloween it 'spooks' her.  Mind you, the 'scream masks' at the front door with the lights down low spook me too.

LOL!  My 11 yr old son just said to me, halfway through a conversation, that I will live until I am 150 yrs old!!!!  I replied that he would be totally fed up with me by then.  He said "well, I will be living in America then and you can live next door".  With a split second pause he continued with............"I will live next door to a care home"  ROFL.

Christmas Time - Tis Only September!

Ok, I know we have Halloween first.  Yes, I have made my son his Halloween T-shirt.  I am really not sure I have the time to put it, or any other Halloween designs on the website,  although I will try.

I have Christmas designs to add............feel free to send in your own!  I have been so busy with customised orders of late.  Hey, I am not complaining at all.  To do lists just seem to get longer and longer don't they?

Well, I have a few of the Christmas T-Shirts on the website and the Christmas Sacks which, I am pleased to say have taken off already!!!!  I know a lot of people start sorting out Christmas now, in September, and I really should be one of them because my son's birthday is only a week before Christmas!

I have some Baby's First Christmas T-Shirts and photographs of others to get on the website.  If you do not see what you require, hey, send me an email, I love hearing from you all.

Anti-Bullying Campaign

Please take a look at this wonderful website Are you being bullied that is supporting children that are being bullied.  I know it is not something we like to think about and it does not put us in a good 'place'.  But please take a moment to think of the children that are in that place and need the support that this campaign provides for them.

Our children of today are our adults of the future.  Sadly, there are children who are hurting inside and release their pain on other children in the form of bullying.  This obviously means they pass on their pain.  A child who is bullied does not know where to turn.  Please pass on this website to anyone you feel could benefit from or be of benefit to the campaign.

All Excited!

Yes, me.  I am all excited as I took delivery of a 'Top of the Range' heatpress on Friday!  Thanks to you, my customers, I have come a very long way in such a short space of time.

I only started printing the customised/personalised t-shirts last year and already we are in a position to improve...........there will always be room for improvement!  Technology just gets better and better and so do we.

So, what is the difference between heatpressed and screenprinted I here you ask, yes you did, haha.  OK, today I will tell you about heatpressed t-shirts.

cheeky monkey Babybugz - £8.99 - FREE Postage & Packing

The majority of t-shirt printers, print and sell heatpressed tees.  Heatpressed is quicker than screenprinted, therefore, a lot easier.  You make your design on the computer, print onto your transfer paper and place onto the t-shirt.  The heatpress is similar to your sandwich toaster(!) or steampress iron (imagine the dry cleaning machines but without the steam).  You place your t-shirt on the press, the transfer design on top of the t-shirt and bring down the hotplate.  After a certain time you release the hotplate and then remove the transfer paper from your t-shirt.  There you have it!  Your printed t-shirt.

So all that sounds very easy.  However, there are many different ranges and qualities of transfer and heatpresses.  We use the top quality transfers and top of the range heatpress.  Timing and pressure of pressing are extremely important to your finished product.

With heatpressed t-shirts it is best to turn your tee inside out prior to washing and iron on the reverse of print, or you can place tracing/greaseproof paper over the design and iron on top of that.

The Babybugz t-shirts by Mantis World, are also top quality t-shirts for baby and toddler.  We are producing top quality clothing for top quality kids and at unbelieveably low prices!

I do not see why people have to pay more!

You can click the photograph above to go and see some of our new designs, all with FREE postage and packing.

Next time I shall tell you all about screenprinting.  I know you can't wait, hehe.

Car Boot Sales!

Well, my 11 yr old son loves them!  They cost me a fortune.  Due to his incessant requests to do them we have now managed two and he has made quite a bit of money and spent quite a bit too!  He has a little system going on............after about 30 minutes he gets bored and wants to go look around at other peoples wares and then he spends his money, haha.  So, I'm not quite sure if we are clearing out clutter or just exchanging it, hey ho!

I must say though, that they are fun to do.  Especially if the entire family is involved.  It certainly takes a bit of effort on my part I must admit but it is worth it if the children have had fun and it keeps them off the DS or PS games.

I think it must also be said that it is great for children to do car boot sales as it gives them confidence in dealing with people and money and a bit of negotiating does them no harm!

Personalised Printed T-Shirts

Well, I have been away again from blogging because I have been so busy printing personalised orders. I have been designing and printing some lovely designs for customers orders and I have started placing these on my website to make them available to you too.  If they do not suit your requirements then you can contact me and let me know what you personally require.  Orders are despatched within 24-48 hrs of payment.

You will see that the first t-shirt is I'm Autistic - What's Your Problem?   I was told that this t-shirt saved a lot of  "dirty looks and rude comments" from people when the child's behaviour was 'not acceptable' to passers-by.   I did not realise that this happened to parents of children with Autism!

I do have a couple more designs with regards to Autism and hope to get them printed up and on the website soon.  If you do have any requirements, then feel free to chase me up.

Happy Independance Day America!

I'm the Big Sister T-Shirt

I have now extended the range of the Humbugz - I'm the Big Sister T-Shirt to age 4-6 yrs due to many requests.  I agree these really are a fantastic quality Baseball Shirt.  I'm the Big Sister T-Shirt

Also, I managed to get my new Tee-Bags on to the website this morning. Cotton Tee-Bags  Now our t-shirts have their own little tee-bags to be dunked in and despatched to you.  Printed with a lucky 4 leaf clover, to send you all the luck in the world.

Aside from work..........we had a great Father's Day and went out for a game of ten pin bowling.  Our 6 yr old daughter normally beats everyone at the game on the Wii.  Haha, different kettle of fish when it came to a real game.  It was brilliant, and quite funny to watch her with all the right stances.  Well, she had all the right moves as she went to throw the ball and when she let go of the ball but her top speed which was registered by the computer was 3 mph!!!!!!  The funniest part was when she had thrown the ball and it eventually reached the pins (on the Wii she constantly gets strikes) however, she did not.  So she immediately picked up another bowling ball and let that go down the alley, before I had finished the sentence "no, wait for it to reset the pins"...............Too late!!!  But everything was ok...........the pins had reset before the ball even got close to them, haha.  By the way............I won!

Pauline - 21st June 2009

Now, I reminded you all about Father's Day and..............I forgot!  Well, I have been sooo busy printing t-shirts.  The children have bought their Dad's card and I shall do a design after this blog.  As it is Father's Day I guess hubby should have the lie-in so we can print the t-shirt in the morning.  No, no, I could not buy him a mug for goodness sake.  Our son is 11 yrs old...we have enough mugs, haha.  But you can never have enough t-shirts, LOL!

Earlier, I finished printing our new tee bags!  Yes, we have new printed tee-bags to 'lovingly dunk' our t-shirts in before we post to you.  The great thing about these tee-bags is you can use them more than once, or twice, if you are that way inclined!  Yes, fab new cotton tee-bags with your t-shirts that you can use around the house, out and about, and dunk all your bits and bobs in, use for swimming or PE kit, whatever you want, it will take quite a bit of 'stuff' and will come in very handy.  Hopefully, I will get photo's on the website pretty quick.

Anyway, must dash, have a t-shirt to design!

Pauline - 20th June 2009

Hello again!

Well, it really has been sometime since I blogged, so here is all our news.........

It was a fantastic day at Birmingham NEC.  Hubby and children came with me this year which made it even more enjoyable.  My son had a fabulous time handing out the Business Mums Journals..........he really loved it!  I met some fantastic ladies there who also run their own business and would like to thank those who placed printing orders with me for t-shirts with their business logo's on.  Which brings me to what I have been up to since the NEC.

I have been extremely busy!  Lots and lots of personalised orders that have kept me on my toes until the small hours, but I so love doing them.  Quite a few orders for the corporate market and I'm the Big Brother and Big Sister t-shirts still being screenprinted and sent out to all our wonderful customers.

We also now have a few other designs such as humorous Rugby tees and some Tarot designs inspired by my tarot reading friend.  I also have available polo shirts (plain or printed) for men which are available as I always order in extra for private orders.  They look absolutely fabulous with business or website name printed on the back.  So if you would like to walk around in quality polo shirt advertising your business............email me now for details!

The personalised designs have been going extremely well.  However, I regrettably do not have the time yet to get them on to the website but they will be there soon.

Also, we shall have new bags available with a new design so watch out for them on the website soon.

Don't forget Father's Day t-shirts!

Pauline - 10th June 2009

What a fantastic week it has been.   I now have a new cutting machine which I bought specifically for my customised orders.  I am rather tired as I was getting into the nitty gritty of the instructions, until midnight last night!  It was worth it though as I at least got one new design printed before I went to bed!!!  TeesOnLine.co.uk is now expanding more than ever and I would like to thank all my customers for your continued support, it really is great to know how much you love our I'm the Big Brother and I'm the Big Sister T-Shirts.

Oh, if you are planning on going to the Birmingham NEC Baby Show on Sunday, I will be on the MumsClub stand helping handing out the Business Journals.  So do come over and say hello.  I am in the journal too!

Pauline - 15th May 2009

Hope you have all had a fab weekend.  Oh dear!  I did not do any printing.  We were so engrossed in giving the garden a makeover that I totally forgot.  So I really must get on with them.  The sun has been out today so, once again I have been out in the garden 'pottering'.  I call it pottering because although I love gardening I do not have a clue about it, hehe.

Workwise though I have designed a couple of Father's Day T-Shirts.  Specifically with my husband in mine!  The children most importantly really love them.  If I get time I will put them on the website but otherwise they will remain for Dad.  But if you do have any requests please let me know!

Have a great week.

Pauline - 11th May 2009

Hello again!  Hope you are all well and looking forward to summer.........it will be here soon, honest!  I have just been out with the children and had a little run around with the football.  When I say little run around, be sure that I am exaggerating LOL!

I have managed to get lots of administration done and now I can get back to what I love doing......printing.  I need to stock up again on the Little Brother's as you all seem to love those and I agree with you because Larkwood and Babybugz really is great quality.  I would just like to say 'thank you' to my customer's and especially those who compliment me by returning to buy the little brother/sister tees when baby has been born.  I realise that I have a lovely business here, when I am reminded every day with my sales, teeny little babies are being born, and I am not going to get broody!  But there lovely little soft skin and their innocence and dependance.  Too late, broody, haha.

Change of subject here to the t-shirts I printed for the Business Mums Journal which was launched in Mothercare last month.  I have a great photo of some of the mums at the launch.

These t-shirts are the Continental Clothing which you can see from the website that I have printed I'm the Mummy.  Absolutely superb unbeatable quality long sleeved t-shirt.  They really are superb value.

Must dash as I have a couple of orders to print up this evening and I need to get the artwork sorted out.  Will be back soon!

Pauline 7th May 2009

Here is the Larkwood I'm the Little Brother sleepsuit.  Screenprinted with a soft to the touch print which will not fade or crack!  These sleepsuits really are cute.  I also have them available in pink for the little sister  with a slightly different design but still absolutely gorgeous and the quality is brilliant. For a close up picture and more details just click onto the sleepsuit area in my website. I just love these.

Pauline 28th April 2009 Little Brother Sleepsuit

Yaaay!  I have my new baby range printed and photographs taken.  Although I am afraid that they do not do them justice.  They are however, absolutely lovely.  A superb quality and a lovely soft beautiful print.  Beautiful, soft babywear, for beautifully soft babies.  Be sure to take a look later when they will be on the website and available to buy for your little one's.

Pauline 28th April 2009

Also, I shall have our new babywear range on the website by the end of next week.  Tomorrow I shall have the screen made up for the new design and get them printed sometime over the weekend and then on to the website.  A new range coming soon!

Pauline - 23 April 2009

I am so sorry that I have kept you waiting.  However, I am proud as punch to be able to say that it was I who printed the t-shirts that were worn at the launch of the Business Mums Journal in none other than Mothercare.  This was an exclusive for both Mothercare and the Business Mums Journal.  The magazine is now available in 10 of the Midlands Mothercare stores.  As I said previously the t-shirts are absolutely superb, soooo soft and you can see the quality from a distance.    Absolutely superb t-shirts and I am so proud of them.

16th April - Pauline

Oh for all you blog readers out there, here is a brilliant site I have been introduced to by a friend http://alphainventions.com/ amazing site for reading the most amazing blogs.......unlike mine!  Anyway, I must dash off as not only is it the Financial Year end, ugh!  accounts and stocktake time but I have a fantastic new t-shirt to put on the website.  Especially for us mum's, at last, I'm the Mummy t-shirt.  The quality of this t-shirt is fantastic.  Continental Clothing.........absolutely lush is the only way I can describe the softness and quality.  This label is what I printed on for a special event on 11th April, for a customer.  Cannot tell all until the 12th April!!!!!

 Pauline 5th April

I have no idea when I last blogged here, no date!  Well, as usual I have been busy printing and quite a few customised tees have been ordered too.  So, thank you all for your orders.

A new t-shirt that I have printed is I'm the Daddy, due to a number of requests.  So not only is this t-shirt for the proud Daddy but also will make your little one feel even more grown up wearing a shirt to match his daddy's.  It's quite funny that when they are little they love to dress up like mummy or daddy.  Haha, once they get into their teens they soon change their mind!  So enjoy it whilst it lasts!!!

Mummy's t-shirt will be ready hopefully by next week.  I shall also be announcing a very special order that I have just printed.  All will be revealed after 11th April 2009.......watch this space!

Pauline - 31st March

Wow!  It has been a busy 4 weeks since I last had time to blog.  I had an unexpected order to print, no not t-shirts, but High Visibility Vests........300 of them!!!!  I should have arms like Madonna as every print is done by hand and they sure ached when I had finished.  But, it was great fun.

So now I can add High Vis Vests to my CV, hehe.  I have loads of printing to do again this weekend as you all love my tees so much stock is running low.  Printing I'm the Big Brother and I'm the Big Sister is my favourite printing.  I shall get back to my 'article' on Siblings as soon as I can.

Well I have managed to print more stock of the Big Brother T-Shirts.  We now also have, new in stock is the Big Sister T-Shirt in pink and white.  The pink print matches the capped sleeve.  They are fantastic quality.  Humbugz by Mantis.  Winner's of two awards for the children and baby clothing.

Siblings

How can you prepare your firstborn for a sibling?

Change some of the things you are doing now, to how you think it will be when your new baby comes along.

Our son was 5 yrs old when our new daughter was born. I had spent the first 4 years of his life making him the centre of my Universe. Everything revolved around him. So there was a great danger of the dreaded jealousy when new baby came along.

One of the things that we started changing was bedtime reading. I had been the one who always read to him every single night. I knew that once our daughter was born it may not be possible to read to him at bedtime because the baby would need feeding etc. So during my pregnancy my husband started reading to our son a couple of times a week. Haha, it was not just because I wanted to read to our son that my husband never did, it was because my husband absolutely hates reading aloud!!!! He read in the most boring way. Which was a good thing.........our son would be asleep so quick it was amazing!

Involving your child in choosing clothing etc for the baby helps too. Although you may need to 'influence' them in some things otherwise you could end up with the most amazing things for baby!!!

You could also have a copy of the scan specifically for your child to keep and to be able to excitedly go around showing to everyone. This will also give you an insight into what they are thinking.

Our son would continuously tell everyone that he was going to have a baby brother. We knew otherwsise!!! We spent 9 months saying "but what if you get a baby sister?" The reply was always "but I want a brother" Aaaagh!

At the end of the day the above is obvious. The truth is, we can never prepare them fully for a sibling. Every child is different and will respond differently. This is what keeps us mum's on our toes.

I'm the Big Sister

We had printed our son his   I'm the Big Brother T-Shirt and it really did make him feel so proud. It was as though he was all grown up! He loved showing off his little sister too!

He was at school during the day so he only had the few hours after school that he had to contend with. I always tried to involve him with the, helping getting baby dressed etc, but he totally refused to be anywhere near her when it was nappy changing time, haha.  Little one's do seem to love sharing a bath though!

A couple of years on .......................(she is now 5) and it was brought to my attention that they were each treated so differently by me. This of course is something you have to do, with the difference in age .   One day I overheard my son telling his sister to come and ask me for something, haha, a smile came to my face at his being sneaky! Then it dawned on me.   Oh dear.!   If she asked for something  I, more often than not, would say yes to her, but if my son asked I would say no, aaagh. How did this come about?............

Because she could scream louder, haha.

I always thought I would have two children who would adore each other.  They do!  However, they also can argue with each other just as well.  Because my son had 4/5 years with our total attention I do think at times he feels that he lost all that attention because of his baby sister.  That was not the case really because I had taken on my pin money job which led me into screenprinting.  He does not remember now, but it was that job that started taking my attention away from him anyway.  But to ease my guilt, as us mum's do seem to have a lot of guilt issues (we must be born with it!) I always have said that they need to lose some of that attention.  It is humanly impossible to give such undivided attention to one person forever..........is it not? It cannot be good for them either.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I hope you all had a great christmas and saw the new year in with style!  Regrettably, like so many people I had a virus from christmas day morning right through until the New Year.  Thankfully, the children did not get it until after Boxing Day.  We did spend a christmas, a few years ago, with both the children being ill on the big day and that is just the worst.  So to all of you who are still suffering, I wish you all a speedy recovery.

For the new year I plan to, at least attempt, to write some articles on siblings.  So if any of you already have more than one child and have a story to tell do contact me and let me know what advice you have for others.

Take care and roll on summer!

Pauline - 6th January 2009

 When we started

We started screenprinting in 2003, just before our daughter was born.  Our son was 5 yrs old and had been the centre of our life all that time and knowing that he would lose the limelight we screenprinted I'm The Big Brother t-shirt for him to make him feel special.

Having just purchased a Green Earth Screenprinter for our existing bannerette business it was easy to do and we knew he would just love it.

2nd February 2008 - Pauline

He did love it and he looked so proud wearing his Big Brother t-shirt and holding his new baby sister.  The great thing about him wearing it, as well, was that it reminded people to give him attention and not just the new baby.  We took a photograph of him wearing his t-shirt and standing alongside his sleeping new baby sister and it is a photograph that I will cherish forever.

6th February 2008 - Pauline

Of course once our friends saw the t-shirt they all wanted one for their children and word spread to the point that we were making large quantities.  It was from there that our t-shirt printing business started.  As time has gone by our range is gradually building and this year we have just launched our new Maternitees.   Which are absolutely lovely and soft.

We have had our Maternitee shirts researched by Mum's to be (again) and the feedback we have had from them is fantastic.  The have told us the Maternitee Shirt is lovely and comfortable, washes and tumble dry, and they still look great.  The length has also been an important factor, as not everyone wants to show off half their gorgeous belly.  Also, the extra room around the underarm, so you do not feel tight, hot and sweaty.

At the moment we are working on one or two designs to screenprint on some of the maternitees.  Hopefully, we shall get around to printing some soon.  We have a few customised orders to get done and then we shall have some Maternitees printed.

21st February 2008 - Pauline

Well, it's been a busy week but I am now able to start working on a design for the Maternitee shirt.  If you have a specific design that you would like to pass on to me, feel free to do so.  I am always open to the ideas of what people would like.

One of the things I am hearing is that people do want organic.  It is for this reason that next week I shall be sourcing suppliers of 100% organic t-shirts for adults and children.    We are already somewhat environmentally friendly as we use water-based inks and our Green Earth Screenprinting Machine.

29th February 2008 - Pauline

I am pleased to let you all know that we have now printed our first Maternity T-Shirt.  We shall hopefully have them photographed and on the website in the next week.  As usual things are extremely busy here and I have only just caught up with everything, having taken time out to visit the Birmingham NEC for the Print and Promotion Wear Exhibition.

The exhibition, although not as big as I expected was definitely worthwhile visiting.  I have been able to source extremely good quality organic t-shirts, both for adults and children.  So now have another job to do in purchasing and printing those.

10th March 2008 - Pauline

Yaay!  I have ordered in the new blank Organic kids T-shirts.  They will arrive tomorrow and I plan on printing them, if all goes well, on Saturday.  I am about to photograph the Preggers 'N' Proud Maternity T-Shirts, a few of which we have screenprinted, as I have not had time recently to get them on to the website.

13th March 2008 - Pauline

Well, I have been extremely busy.  I am pleased to say our Maternity T-Shirts are now available for purchase.  The Preggers 'N' Proud label is now available to all expectant mums.  So, if you want to be as comfortable as some of the celebrities that have been gifted or spotted wearing Preggers 'N' Proud Maternity T-Shirts,  you can be.  We have screenprinted our own motif, but also have plain available too.  Grab your's whilst you can and you will be extremely happy with your maternitee shirt.

Due to many requests we have also extended the size range of our Stedman, Pink, Big Sister T-shirts.  We now cater from size 26" - 32".

Also now available, are the new Humbugz - Tender Loving Clothing (R) Collection.  100% Certified Natural Organic Girls T-Shirt.  These are absolutely wonderful.   Sooo soft and with a stretchy interlock.  Using our water-based inks and Green Earth Screenprinter, we have, by hand, printed I'm The Big Sister slogan.  I am really excited with this new range and I know you will be too.  We shall be printing these with I'm The Big Brother slogan, very soon.

About our Organic T-Shirts

The Humbugz - Tender Loving Clothing (R) Collection are sourced only from factories that meet demanding standards.  There is a transparency that enables the company - Mantis - to oversee a fully vertical operation at every stage of the production process.  From the very beginning - with raw cotton that is spun, woven and, if required, dyed, right through to the end - with the stitched finished garment.  It is possible to be considerate to the world with planet-friendly production methods and fair wages.  This results in high quality, fashionable garments through fair trade.

In order to ensure that Mantis are doing the things when they produce their clothing, they approached some important organisations for their views and guidelines, and to certify their credibility.

Ethical Trade Initiative Base Code - This code ensures companies are meeting international labour standards.  Mantis take advice from the experts with regular, independent social and environmental audits to monitor their progress and guarantee their own compliance.  Not only do they do this, but they are also providing local communities with employment, education and skills for the future.

Oeko Tex Association - This provides assurance that no harmful substances or dyes are used during any stage of the production process, or indeed that any chemicals or harmful residues are left on the garments.  Not only do they hold the Oeko-Tex 100 standard certification, but also the highest classification of Class 1, the most stringent test that covers the safety of babywear.

Bio Inspecta - Provides independant auditing, accreditation and certification for thousands of organic products worldwide.  They make sure the organic cotton that is used by Mantis meets these standards and issue a certificate if and when it does.

22nd March 2008 - Pauline

bioRe(R) Certified Organic Cotton -With this trademark, it means Mantis organic cotton materials are made not only from certified organic cotton with no nasty chemicals in them, but that the local workers have been employed in healthy and safe conditions.

It has been a busy weekend as our daughter had her birthday party today.  She is 5 yrs old on this week.  My, time does fly.  So, it will also be 5 yrs since we made our first I'm The Big Brother T-Shirt.  So, it seemed only right that today she wore her 'Birthday Girl' badge and her brother now 10 yrs old wore his black with white print I'm The Big Brother T-Shirt.

30th March 2008 - Pauline

We now have humbugz-Tender Loving Clothing(R) - I'm The Big Brother T-Shirts screenprinted t-shirts.  Remember, we use water-based inks and these t-shirts are all individually printed by us.

I am pleased you are enjoying our organic Big Brother and Big Sister T-Shirts!  We do have a few of the I'm The Big Brother design in the Hogwart font in the age 7-9 yrs, which hopefully, I will get the time to photograph this coming week and get on to the website.  Yet again I am extremely busy, as all of us with children always are!

At the moment I am having to do  my stocktake for the year end and that is oh so much fun!  As exciting in fact as doing the year end accounts.  Which is why I am here and not doing the dreaded paperwork.  Oh well, I guess I best go and do a little bit of it then.  Small steps climb big mountains as they say.

12th April 2008 - Pauline

I have managed to get the blue Stedman Classic Hogwart font onto the I'm The Big Brother section, together with the black t-shirts which we have now printed in silver.

This weekend we shall be printing our new label............Babybugz.  A fantastic quality baby t-shirt in age 3-6 months.  This is from the Mantis label.

Also being printed this weekend are the I'm The Big Sister t-shirts in Adult size.  As these have proven to be popular in the past we are bringing this size back too.

Have a great weekend and thank you for your custom.

Hello!  I am sorry I have been away for sooo long and not have not been able to do my blog.  But I am happy to say I have been so busy sending out the t-shirts to my customers and printing more of them, that, unusually for me, I have been too tired to talk!!!  In fact I am taking a breather as we are about to print up more in the coming week or so.  I absolutely love it though and thank all my customers for the compliments on our t-shirts.

I should let you all know that if you are sending t-shirts to friends or relatives and want them posted direct we do this quite happily and are also more than happy to put in a little gift card (from you!) free of charge.  Just let me know by email and I will do so.

6th May 2008 - Pauline

Yet again it has been busy and I have not been able to blog!  I would like to thank Mr K. for his idea of putting a 'button' on for you to click for the free gift tag and 'change of address' if your t-shirt is a gift for a friend.  At the moment I am trying to work out the easiest and quickest way possible to do this.  I think for the moment you will need to put the new address in your Paypal payment.  My apologies for the delay in doing this.

18th May 2008 - Pauline

Well I have had a day out at the Birmingham NEC, The Baby Show.  Absolutely great fun to be out there meeting and talking to you Mums (and Dads).  An extremely tiring, busy but fun day.  If I met you there...hello and thanks for popping in!

Thank you to Ms B who purchased some tees as gifts and emailed me to say "they are great and she is sure her family will be delighted with them".  I guess I should set up a testimonial page as so many of you are kind enough to take the time to let me know how much you love our tees.  A big thank you from me to all of you, my customers.

25th May 2008 - Pauline

I am excited about the new t-shirts I have in stock for baby girls.  I am presently working on a new design for them and hopefully I will have the new design printed and on the website in about a week from now.

Also, inspired by my son I am designing a new slogan tee for the older boys.......watch this space!

6th June 2008 - Pauline

They're are here!  New designs are now on the site:

Daddy's Little Princess

This is a top quality baby skate layered top.  Fushia/pink.  We have matched the print to the pink in the sleeves.  At the moment we are only doing these is age 12/18 months.  When other sizes are available we shall cover those too.

Do you like the slogan tee inspired by my 10 yr old son?

It ain't my ATTITUDE ..................it's my hormones

haha, after soooo many discussions with my mummy friends we decided the way our wonderful children suddenly change around this age, it must have something to do with their hormones.  These are unisex!!!!!!

18th June 2008

Hello!

Well this time busy is not the word.  Manic is more like it!  I have not had the chance to blog because it has been, as I say, manic.  We have had quite a few customised orders and also have had to print more of our own stock as it has been selling so fast.

Also, we now have I'm the Little Brother in Newborn size.  The Larkwood label is a very good quality and once again we have been able to maintain our low prices and high quality.

3rd July 2008

One-Off Personalised Prints

I am pleased to announce that after a lot of research we are now able to print one-off personalised t-shirts using heat-press transfers.  I must say that we have acquired extremely high quality transfers and the print is almost as soft to the touch as our screenprints.  The feedback I have had from an existing customer whom I asked to compare with their screenprinted order was.............

Pauline, it is sooooo lovely, absolutely fabulous.

So, I shall soon be making a Special Birthday Bundle available for children and adults.  In the meantime, if you require a personalised/one-off print for children or adults let me know what you require via my contact form.

16th July 2008

Have you seen my soon to be Great Niece/Nephew?  Yes, that is one of my relative's on the maternity t-shirt - Baby scan!

At the moment I am working on new designs which does take time in between all the printing orders, but I shall get there eventually!

I am also about to put one or two items on for Mum.  High quality tops at our low prices.  So look out for those.

 European Chic Award - 2008

Congratulations to Mantis World who received the European Chic Award 2008 for their childrenswear in the category 'Best Collection of Childrenswear'.  This award was based on design and quality, workmanship and pattern.

I am proud to be able to sell just some of their childrenswear and will most certainly be stocking other designs soon.

Update on what we have been up to!

Well, I'm not sure really!  I have had so much to do since I last blogged.  I shall make a list of pointers and come back to them as and when I have the time.

The first thing that comes to mind is 'Run to the Beat' the London Half Marathon.  We were honoured to be asked to supply and print some running vests for a Golf Society who are customers of mine.  They were running the half marathon to raise funds for a children's hospice in South East London.  We provided the printed vests at cost price which you can see, and please feel free to make a donation to such a worthy cause, on this link:  http://www.justgiving.com/runtothebeat Well done to all the runners involved.

We now have, due to popular demand, I'm the Bigger Brother t-shirts.  These are now available.  Also, printed but not yet on the website are I'm the Big Brother and I'm the Big Sister in 18-24 months and 24-36 months, on the Larkwood label which are truly a fantastic quality t-shirt and as always at our fantastically low prices.  Another new baby design is due to be placed on the website for newborn baby.  Hopefully, I can have these placed on the website by next week, please bear with me!

Day out at The Baby Show

Had a great day out today at the Little Monsters Baby Show in Cheltenham.  Met with Jane the forum owner of www.mumsclub.co.uk. We had a good walk round looking at all the baby items on show.  I am thinking about booking a stand for next year at either Bath or Bristol Show, will let you know next year......which will soon be here, aaagh!

I did buy my kiddiewinks a reward chart.  I must admit I did not think the children would be chuffed with it as they normally don't care for the gold stickers in their workbooks!  But hey, mum got it right for a change, yaay!  They love it, although it may be because they decided that their reward at the end of the week if they obtain 57 stars, one will have a Bionicle and the other wants Lego.  I shall be kept on my toes watching out for any cheating, hehe.

On the t-shirt side of what's going on I have a new design for 6-12 month old.  I shall aim to get the photo and details on the website this week.  Busy, busy, busy!
